EVO ICL: What to Expect
Preparing for EVO ICL
The first step in preparing for vision correction with EVO ICL is to attend a consultation and examination with Dr. Di Pascuale. During this meeting, your ophthalmologist will examine your eyes and medical history, and you will have the opportunity to discuss your goals for vision correction. If you are determined to be a good candidate for EVO ICL, your procedure will be scheduled and you will be given detailed pre- and postoperative instructions.
The EVO ICL Procedure
EVO ICL vision correction is an outpatient procedure that only takes about 20 to 30 minutes.
Prior to the procedure, your eye surgeon will apply anesthetic eye drops to numb the eyes and help you remain comfortable. A device will be used to hold your eyes open, so you won’t need to worry about blinking during the procedure. Next, your ophthalmologist will create a small opening and position the Implantable Collamer Lens in front of the natural lens of the eye and behind the iris (the colored part of the eye). You will recover here briefly before being driven home by a friend or family member.
Recovery After EVO ICL
After the EVO ICL procedure, you’ll notice a near-immediate improvement in your vision. Little recovery time is needed after EVO ICL, and most of our patients can return to work in 24 hours and resume their normal activities within a few days.
